Dairy Factories

Once the dairy cows have their calf’s they feed them for a few days but then they are taken away and fed milk replacer, but this is very hard for the mothers like most Mothers, cows have very strong bonds with their calf’s so for about a week they call for their babies but they don’t come back.

Often they don’t get to go outside and be free; they don’t get to graze in the grass.

They take the calves from the mothers and the boys are sent to farms to be fattened up and slaughtered when they are older but the girls live the same life’s as their mothers lived, they are used for milk.

At least dairy cows don’t live quite as bad lives as beef cows.

Usually they stay in the same barn for their whole lives.

They live such disappointing lives.
